WARNING to all parishioners and the general public:

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS POCOCKS LANE FOOTBRIDGE, adjacent to Black Potts Railway Bridge/Weir. This bridge is in a state of pre‑collapse. The Environment Agency and the Royal Borough have been made aware, at the highest levels of the condition recorded by the Datchet Parish Council Flooding Team, who have requested that permanent safety barriers be erected at both banks of the Jubilee River at each bridge entry point.

Additionally, it may be unwise to walk the Thames footpath. The embankments have been saturated for so long that some sections may now be approaching instability. Please take extra care if you are out walking.
