Designed following feedback from local families with a wildlife theme, it also has new accessible and sensory equipment to make the space even more inclusive. Oaken Grove's and the new Pirate playground at Windsor's Clewer Memorial Recreation Ground are the first two borough play parks we've refurbished, with three more planned this coming year. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Last chance to name a Borough Bus | | | | Our 'Name a Borough Bus' competition is still open for submissions until midnight Sunday 30 August. Winning entries will be displayed on four buses for everyone to see! You can submit names that have a link to the Royal Borough, whether it's a fan-favourite landmark or a fond personal memor below. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Merchant Navy Day flag raising next week | | | | Residents are invited to a ceremony at Maidenhead Town Hall to mark Merchant Navy Day, an opportunity to honour the brave men and women of the Merchant Navy who kept our nation supplied during the World Wars and a chance to spotlight the UK's proud maritime heritage. The Red Ensign, the official flag for the Merchant Navy, will be raised on Thursday 3 September at Maidenhead Town Hall in a short ceremony led by the Mayor, Cllr Siân Martin at the War Memorial.
