Hotspot App

Dear Clerk

I am writing to introduce a new tool we have for Neighbourhood Policing called the Hotspot App.

The purpose of this app is to use data to see which areas need extra patrols for issues such as anti-social behaviour, drug use, car thefts and more. When we have the data, officers will then have set areas for patrol to ensure visibility and aim to deter the behaviours which have been raised.

The app is a great tool, but we need the reports so that we are accurately patrolling the right places. We would therefore ask you to report any issues you see in your local area, which are a cause for concern. The more data we have, the more accurately we can utilise the app, and our officers.

You can report a non emergency crime by either calling 101 or completing our webform - Home | Thames Valley Police. If it is an emergency, please call 999.

You can also discuss any issues with your local PCSO's at the events they hold, details of these can be found on our website - Your area | Thames Valley Police.
